TAHB has a new semester beginning February 1. Our classes continue to be delivered through distance mediums out of caution for Covid-19. See our program information page for Registration information. All classes are open for Registration, except for Beginning Band and Guitar 1, which require instructor permission. See class description for class prerequisites and age ranges.

TAHB Registration for Fall 2020 is now open to all students, from anywhere in Washington, who meet the requirements for our classes!

This year, due to the Covid situation, TAHB expects to be a virtual music school for as long as it takes for things to be safe for us to meet. Because of this, we have some exciting news! We are opening enrollment to students all over Washington! Even if you are new to homeschooling or are enrolled in a virtual public school but still need to get your music needs met, you are welcome at TAHB!
Stay tuned! Registration for returning students begins August 10 and for new students on August 15!
Spring Semester runs February through June. We will have registration for Spring Semester on January 30, 2020. Inquiries about mid-year registration, please contact TAHB leadership. Thank you!

Fall 2019 Registration will be August 29 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (8602 Bridgeport Way SW, Lakewood, WA 98499).
Returning Student Registration begins at 10am. Parent Orientation (for both new & returning families) will begin at 11:30am. New student registration will begin immediately after the meeting.
Be sure to have the $40 per student registration fee in check or cash (exact change, please). Bring your completed registration forms. These will be available on our website approximately 1 week before registration.
Ted Brown Music will be on-site for book sales and instrument rentals. Please contact the store ahead (ask for Pat) to request specific instruments to be certain they have one available if you wish to secure a rental that day.
The schedule and calendar for 2019-2020 is now available at www.thetahb.org/documents/. We are excited to be adding new classes. We welcome Alexis Rouse to our teaching team. Alexis will be teaching Violin 1. We also will be adding a class in Ukulele for ages 7-9, and our choirs have been expanded to included a junior choir, concert choir and an advanced choir. Please see our detailed class descriptions on the Documents page for details, and the schedule document as well for class times. We have also released the Calendar for the entire school year.
TAHB is pleased to announced our Open House to kick off our plans for the 2019-2020 school year! We will be introducing our teachers and announcing our schedule for next year, which we are excited to announce will include BEGINNING VIOLIN!!! All prospective families are welcome to come and watch classes, meet teachers and board members, and ask questions. Ted Brown Music will be on-site to have the musical instrument “petting zoo” and discuss instrument rentals. (Please note fall registration will be on August 29. No registrations will be processed at Open House).

January 31: Spring Registration will run all TAHB day from 9:45-2:45. New students can register and continuing students will update registration. The $40 semester fee to TAHB is collected at this time. There will be a MANDATORY orientation meeting for both NEW and RETURNING students at 11:30am. We will go over program rules, calendar and answer all your questions at this time! Remember, you can always try out a free class before registering, so please come out January 10, 17, or 24 to try classes before registration!

Ted Brown Music will be present to complete rentals with interested students. They will have the instruments with them that day to take home with you if you complete the contract on site.
